↓ Hymn of the plague. Short film, 2024. As the musicians record their music time breaks down and the spirits of the past rise from the dead.

The premiere of the film took place at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, where it received the "Pardino d'argento" award.

↓ ZanovoWe set out in search for real people, strangers, friends and places to scan, animate and inhibit our ghost town. The virtual world is similar to a cemetery inhibited by ghosts. We worked on capturing the haunting texture of urban post soviet reality. It is the finalist of Calvert Journals New East Photo Prize. Participated in the Calvert 22 Foundation exhibited in London and St. Petersburg.

↓ Idilliya&#38;nbsp;An upcoming music video for Gruppa Skryptonyte. We experimented with point clouds, Lidar spatial mapping systems and Kinect Azure. We were interested in looking through the perspective of new technologies which are used in AI to interact with and “see” space.

	LUCIFER is a short film and media performance covering Dmitry Kuznetsov’s ( the rapper Husky) creative and existential crises.
The project interacts with the rapper's personal biography and explores whether it can be altered, changed and elaborated upon in the public field. Our goal was to create fiction and make it a reality, to infiltrate and shape real news and facts with events which were created and made public: a reshoot of Hasky’s famous GQ interview, leaked footage of the rapper sabotaging his unfinished album, his media-persona’s public suicide outside the window of the Ritz Carlton, a staged funeral and manifest to his transformation as an artist. With a looming feeling of uncertainty in 2021, we decided to take an unfamiliar perspective on the Earth and turned to these none-humans for a voice.
THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF EARTHLY THINGS is a series of none-human, object oriented idents we wrote and directed for Beat Film Festival. There, a genetically mutated flower growing in the streets of Hong Kong, bacteria living inside melted gummy bears on the dashboard of a car parked in Disneyland, a metal can in the stomach of a dead seagull in Antarctica, and the Deep Water Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

	The virtual world is similar to a cemetery inhibited by ghosts. A place where artifacts, imprints and narratives of people (dead or alive) coexist intangible and without time.
We set out in search for real people, strangers and friends of Hasky, to inhibit our ghost town. We scanned, created 3D models, animated them with the rapper’s body motions and settled them into a similar setting with buildings, living rooms, people and fates. All as if reflected through a looking glass.

	“It was the very first night, though forerun by hundreds of years.”

BADLANDS emerged from a yearning to find something we felt was truthful to our surroundings — at least on a metaphorical level. It’s a story of bridging the past, which seems largely layered with dreams and fantasies, long twisted and destroyed, to present political realities: man’s current state; dead in some insignificant “badlands”, with nothing but his past. Perhaps it’s a story of longing, inherently nostalgic and tragic as that which the character wishes for is, in-of-itself, unattainable.

Badlands is the finalist of Calvert Journals New East Photo Prize. Participated in the Calvert 22 Foundation exhibited in London and St. Petersburg.&#38;nbsp;

The project is a musical film commissioned by Jäegermeister for the annual “2020 Jagermeister Music Awards” in Russia. The goal was to write and direct a musical film which would cover the current independent Russian music industry by giving light to musicians (new and old) and their personal achievements. The project consists of a series of eight music videos and fifteen documentary profile pieces. The artists covered: Istochnik, Sestry, Pasosh, Uvula, Nedri, Ushko and Moa Pillar, Dequine,Cream Soda, Ssshhhiiittt!!, Kate NV, Kazuskoma, Monetochka, 555TRAKS555, Tommy Cash and Hasky.

	HYMN OF THE PLAGUE. Short Film, 13:25 minutes.
In times of massive change, in times of war and repression everyday life begins to slip away.&#38;nbsp; The past floats up into the present and the future, transparent and unattainable. Strange events take place and unspeakable forces come to life. At first it is hardly noticeable, but overtime it becomes larger than life itself.

The orchestra records “A Feast in Time of Plague” in an old music hall. Noises interfere with the recording, the walls are trembling, the lights turn off… “I think it was an earthquake”, says Naum, one of the musicians, while Timofey argues that everything is not what it seems. In this chaos and confusion, the recording resumes. The camera flies across the hall like a ghost. A specter. It watches the space change continuously in one long frame. The walls stop being walls and objects stop being objects as the space gradually loses its meaning. A haunting force fills the four walls of the recording studio. The scene collapses into chaos as the characters disappear. While writing this film, we were inspired by Julio Cortazar’s short story “House Taken”. The simple and yet powerful political story studies the relationship between people and repressive forces, represented as a haunting, push a family out of their home. Our characters, like in this story, do not notice how their reality slowly cracks at the seams changing their world entirely.

The space around the musicians in this film holds decades of oppression, censorship and fear. The past absorbs their life, muffling their music and trapping in the in-between time like apparitions.The international and world premiere of the film will take place at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in August 2024, where it has been selected in the "Pardi di Domani" International Competition.

	IDILLIYA is a work in progress for the band Gruppa Skryptonite. We experimented with point cloud and Lidar spatial mapping systems to create a machine-point-of-view. We wanted to gaze inside out from the perspective of new technologies which are used in AI to interact and function in space. A space that is somewhere between reality and a digital dream.

“A vague threat loomed over the city of Moscow and its inhabitants. Giant clouds of unknown origin, condensed into an unnamed semblance of forms. It was a phenomenon impossible to believe in without seeing the distortion of light and colour in the gloomy cloud. From somewhere above came subtle, unpleasant noises that resembled squelching. There was a sense of unease and, at the same time, delight, a touch of the unreal and divine. Perhaps it was just a play on the imagination, but in time, people discovered that the proportions of their bodies were all wrong, under the influence of the mysterious cloud. The supernatural had seeped into our natural world. The threat of unreality became reality itself. People without heads, bodies, arms and legs jumped out into the streets as the inanimate came to life.”
